Frogs, frogs, and more frogs...
When we first moved here to AL, I had wanted to do my girls bathroom in ducks. I thought that it would be so cute, but the only store in town( Walmart) didn't have ducks. They did however have frogs, which I fell in love with immediately. I got the curtain, the cute cup and had plans to put this cute little saying on the wall. Well finally now 5 months later it's done. Thanks to my sweet friend Emily Henzi Burton. She does vinyl lettering and was able to send this to me. I was so excited with how it turned out. I think that Kaylee really liked it too. She was very excited when I was putting it on the wall. I promised my sister a picture so here it is.
Walmart, ER & Bonk Head...
So a few weeks ago my husband was out of town and things were a little bit rough. I've had him gone before and we've managed just fine. But this time it was starting to wear on me and the girls. We were just days from him coming home and I needed to go to Walmart for some diapers. It was kind of necessary and for some reason I was rushing. Why you might ask?? I have no idea since I really didn't have much going on that day. Anyway due to my pointless rushing, my little Kaylee got a bonk o her head. I had Makenzie in the seat belt part of the kart and Kaylee was standing in the front like she usually does. Well I went to turn a corner into an aisle and there was a woman standing there so I reared back and Kaylee's momentum kept on going and she flipped right out of the kart and landed right on her head on the hard tile. I was sick. I couldn't believe that all of this was happening. It was almost like a dream now that I think back. So after I realize she is flipping, I rush for her and try to check her eyes for dilating, check her head for bleeding etc. All the while she is just trying to get into my arms and crying telling me that her head hurts. I felt so awful and was trying to decide if I should go to the ER. As I was trying to get my girls out to the car, all the store associate could do to help me out was ask me to sign some paper so I won't come after them. (I was a little peeved about this.) Anyway I head to the ER, and everything turns out fine. Kaylee did have to have a CT scan and she sure didn't like that, but everything looked good in the end. She just had a head ache and was very calm for the rest of the day and into the next.
So I have definitely learned my lesson about hurrying and Kaylee has respect for karts and now sits down in them. I am amazed though that she never even ended up with a bruise. I expected a nasty looking one, but the only thing I found that was even close to a bruise was a little bit of color on the palms of Kaylee's hands. I decided that she must have sort of caught herself with her hands which in turn saved her head. We are just glad that she's okay.

Scrubbing toilets in your wedding dress...
So I don't know how many of your husbands think/thought that buying your wedding dress was a waste of money. Well, mind did even though it wasn't his money. My mom used to joke that we(us girls) would be scrubbing toilets in our wedding dress one day so they really wouldn't go to waste. This picture of Kaylee in her high heels and apron, cooking at her kitchen reminds me of that. It's just plain silly. No one in their right mind would cook or do dishes in their high heels. Heck, I can hardly wait to get them off after three hours of church. But none the less, I really think that this is so cute of my little Kaylee bug. She got this kitchen for Christmas and has just loved it. I made some aprons, hot pads, and dish towels to go with it, but somehow she seems to still use mine. It just must be more fun that way.

The Joys of Motherhood...
I know it's been a while since my last post, but sometimes I just get tired of doing stuff on the computer. And as easy as it is to download my pictures to the computer it seems like so much work some days. So my husband finally did it and now I can blog about my newly downloaded pictures.
So I have to say that pictures like these are some of my most favorite. They truly are one of the rewarding, joyful moments in motherhood. Makenzie is getting old enough now that she and Kaylee can play together. It's so fun as a mother to see your children getting along. Not that mine don't very often, but I can tell that those days aren't as far away from us as they used to be so I like to appreciate the moments now.
