Life as we know it now...

So here we are. One more member to the family. I can hardly believe that he is already 6 weeks old. It goes by so fast. My life right now makes me think of the song "Your Gonna Miss This" by Trace Atkins. It seems like Justis and I just got married and now here we are 3 kids later. It's been a fast journey that we are on and with each kid it gets faster. They keep us so busy though. The girls have so much energy and I wish they could pass some on to me. It would help me to keep up with them. Kaylee just had her 3rd birthday and she was a pretty lucky little girl. Her grandparents on both sides spoiled her good this year. We'll have to get pictures of the b-day loot up. Makenzie has of course grown up so much since Baergen came into the family. It's amazing how that happens. She is learning to talk and is doing pretty well. She has also developed the talent of ignoring which frustrates her mother to no end. But we work through things each day and are always grateful to be together each night. We are excited to have our very first Christmas with just our family. We have our first real tree too. The girls, well mostly Kaylee, were very excited to help decorate, and Makenzie has successfully broken at least 3 bulbs. That aside, we are enjoying our rainy Christmas. So I hope all of you with snow will enjoy it for me.

A helicoptor for daddy.

The girls love him.

Thanks to "Gma Owna" (my mom) for his blesing outfit.

Sweet little boy.

Our first family picture with Baergen.

We love to watch movies.

The girls in their cute pink dresses. Baergen's blessing day.

Makenzie loves to climb and get into things. Yep, it's the Desitin...again.

Kaylee loves to read.

Baergen Justis Dastrup...

I don't think he was quite ready to come. This looks like a pretty mad face to me.

Gotta love the hospital pictures.

Big sister Makenzie. I don't think she is quite sure what to think.

They are always so sweet when they are sleeping.

This is my little Bear in his little bear outfit. The feet are my favorite.

He looks just like his daddy.

So here are his stats:

He's Here...

So our little guy is finally here. He was 4 days late which seemed like an eternity to me since my kids have all come early. But everything went great and he is doing so good. He sleeps all the time and on one hand I love it, but on the other I'm dying (all of you nursing mothers know what I mean.) But it's so good to have him here. Kaylee loves him and is just at that age when babies are so cute. And Makenzie is a little unsure of him I think, but I'm sure she'll warm up in the next couple of weeks. I'm sorry I haven't downloaded my pictures yet, but I will do it really soon. Just trying to get things back to normal in life. You know how it goes.

What's in a Name???

Okay, So here is the deal. Justis & I have never had the easiest time picking a name for our kids, but this one is really getting the best of us. Here we are Ocotober 6th, and I'm due in 4 weeks. At this point with the girls we at least had names to choose from. Some we liked, some we weren't sure about, you know how it goes. Well, we have nothing. Yep. I said nothing. We have discussed names for quite some time and we have some that are o.k., but nothing that either of us is really pushing for. So I sit here writing this post in hopes of getting some suggestions. Good ones mind you. So if you have anything of use to share with us we would appreciate the suggestions. Thanks so much.

Oh how lovely...

So if you have ever left Utah and headed down south you know that you start to feel pretty sticky and basically wet all over all day long. It's something that I have really come to dislike about Sweet Home. I honestly didn't expect to like it at all, but I didn't think it would bother me all that much. Surprise, it does-and let's remember that I am pregnant. But the reason I am writing about this is because today has been something quite refreshing. It's DRY. Well dry for Alabama which is saying something. When Justis left for work this morning I was saying goodbye to him at the door and I felt this wonderful breeze blow by. I was shocked, but thought to my self, how nice. Then an hour later when the girls and I left to go to the grocery store it was still amazingly cool. We actually didn't have to use the A/C in the car. That hasn't happened since last winter. It gets better. I have actually had my windows open all day long and there has been a pleasant breeze blowing in all day. Justis even commented on how when he came home it was so fresh in our house, and it smelled so good cuz I had just finished baking some chocolate chip cookies. So to finish off, there is hope for the last 4 weeks of my pregnancy. I will make it through this too and all thanks to this wonderful, cool, DRY day!!! What a way to welcome FALL.

Just Because...

So here are some pictures of our time spent in Utah this summer. The girls and I really enjoyed our little vacation. The drive across the country wasn't as bad as my husband had anticipated for us, but it was a little worse than I had hoped it was going to be, but all in all the girls did really very well. We sure do miss all of our family in Utah, but had a lot of fun playing with then this summer.

Grandma caved on the trip home and let the girls ride this toy at Wal Mart.

Catch Up...

So it's been a while and I've felt bad about not putting anything new on the blog, but I guess not bad enough to do something about it. :) So here it is. Just some random stuff that we have been up to. Beach trips, playing dress ups, and just having fun.

Makenzie at the beach. She love the waves even though they plow her down.
Kaylee enjoying the sand toys.
Instead of taking a nap this day I came in to find her feeding Eyore. It was too cute.
The girls love to build towers with their dad.

Happy 26!!! Yesterday...

So I had a very different b-day. My most favorite part of the day was that Justis cooked dinner for me. I had planned to make Chicken Cordon Bleu which I've never made before, but I absolutely love. I told him that but he didn't care. And he did a wonderful job. It looked so good I forgot to take a picture before I ate my whole plate, but just know that it was wonderful. Thanks so much Just- I love you!!

Such a terrible mom....

So I have to show these pictures even though they tell you all how terrible of a mother I am. First up, my poor little Makenzie took a nice fall last Saturday night. She was sitting on the stairs outside and went to stand up but didn't quite get her footing and she skid across the cement. Her eye got the brunt of it. I felt so bad, but she took it pretty good seeing as by the time I took her to Justis to get her cleaned up he asked, "Did she even cry??" She did, but she's pretty tough and had it all out in the time it took me to walk inside to find Justis.
She still looked pretty for church the next morning.

Quasi Motto eating her breakfast the next morning. I felt so bad when I got her out of her bed and this is how she looked.

Now my poor little Kaylee bug. We were able to make it to the beach when G& G came to visit us, but for some reason, I did a terrible job in getting sun screen on her. I know I put some on her face, but this is what she looked like when we got home. I apparently had her nose covered, but forgot to run my finger down either side to spread the sunscreen around. I felt so bad because it looked like it hurt so much. But kids are resilient. It didn't seem to bother her one bit and now she is back to normal.
