We are still here!!!

So I know it's been a really long time since my last post and we've made a lot of changes since my last post, but I think for the sake of time and my sanity, I'm going to just start fresh with where we are now.

We are in TEXAS!!! We moved in July and have really enjoyed being here so far. We purchased our home online and never stepped foot into it until the day we pulled up after driving from Alabama for about 16 hours. It was a scary move to make, but we prayed a lot that things would work out the way they needed to and we have been very fortunate. We are relatively close to a good amount of members and the home has been wonderful and we really enjoy being home owners and all that goes with it. It was kind of fun the first time I was about to tell my kids to turn the TV down the neighbors were going to hear, then I remembered that we don't share walls with anyone anymore!!! It's wonderful.

Just a quick recap...we packed up in June and moved in July. We were here in our new home for about 2 weeks, got the house set up, then jumped in the car and drove to Lake Powell Utah to spend a few days there with Justis's family. Enjoyed the sun and water and being back in Utah. After that we traveled up North to Salt Lake and spent some time with my family, friends and more time with Justi's family. It was a lot of fun to see everyone we haven't see in a couple of years.
After coming back home we have settled right into life and have been in the fast lane ever since. I can hardly believe that it's Halloween already. Kaylee has been in preschool and loving it. Some friends and I decided that we wanted to do our own preschool so we got together, developed our curriculum, and take turns teaching every few weeks. It's worked out really well, and Kaylee has really enjoyed it.
Makenzie gets to go to preschool on the weeks that I teach of course, and the weeks that I stay and help at another mom's. She enjoys school as well. But it's fun for her and I to have some mommy and Makenzie time. She never really got that so it's been kind of new to her.
Baergen has gone from little baby to toddler so fast. He will be one in just over a week. He's been trying to figure out how to walk, and is getting really good at it. I'm certain that any day now he'll just take off. It will be fun to see him run around with his big sisters.
Well, that has been our lives the past few months. There are some great pictures down below. Just keep scrolling. :)

Here's what we call home now days...

So, I have thought about it and Justis and I are on our 5 th home in 6 years of marriage. That's crazy. But it's always fun to set up a new home and get it feeling like it's yours, and that has finally happened here in Texas. This is our home...WELCOME.

The front entry way.

The guest bedroom and yes I can see that the read wall does not match my decor. It will be getting painted soon.

The kids bathroom.

The girls bedroom. It was already painted purple when we moved in. That was awesome.

This is our "office" or was supposed to be, but has turned in to the reading/toy/sewing room. Hey it works.

The family room view from the front entry.

The family room view from the bedroom hallway.

The family room view from the kitchen.

The kitchen from the laundry room.
The kitchen from the master doorway.

The master bath. It's huge!!!

The master bedroom.

P.S. I just realized that I don't have a picture of Baergen's room. He was asleep when I took all of the pictures and he is asleep now, so you'll have to imagine a room with a crib and rocking chair. Hopefully I'll get a picture of it up soon.

Kaylee's first day of Preschool...

Kaylee was so excited to start school. Some of my friends and I decided to get together and teach preschool for our kids. There are 7 little friends and they have all had a great time learning and playing with each other. Makenzie enjoys it when we have school at our house because she gets to go to school then.

Baergen's Favorite place...

So now that Baergen has become really mobile he has decided to take it upon himself to go around the house and leave little messes. He will go up to the stove and pull down my hand towels just to leave them there on the floor and move on. I find canned goods on my pantry floor more often than not. The toilet paper rolls in this house have taken quite the beating and everyone knows that it's just not the same when you have to roll it up yourself. And finally the kitchen sink. He loves to play right here and it usually is when I'm doing dishes that he comes in and decides it's time to pull everything out and climb in. It gets old cleaning up his messes, but he's so worth it.

Lake Powell...

We were able to go to Lake Powell this summer and enjoy some relaxing time. It was for the most part. Almost every night we had crazy storms blow in, but the days were beautiful. I hardly saw my girls the entire trip they were so busy playing with their cousins. And poor little Baergen wanted so badly to get put down to crawl around, but I couldn't do it. I didn't want to have to clean him up. Sand gets everywhere. Anyway, it was a great trip.

Sesame Street Show

Just before we moved from Alabama, the kids and I went to see a Sesame Street show with some of our friends. The girls really enjoyed the show and wanted to get closer and see Elmo, but of course he was always surrounded by kids. They enjoyed their light up toy though.

Makenzie turned 2 !!!!

So our little Makenzie turned 2(in April). And it's had it's terrible times, but she is growing up and turning into such a little girl. She has got the sweetest, most lovable personality. She wants to be loved, but most of the time on her own terms. She loves to giggle and laugh with her big sister and she's not afraid to go up to her dad and pick a fight with him. They love to roll around and wrestle together. It's so much fun to watch her just jump right on him, full body. Makenzie has really started to enjoy coloring and singing. She will start up a song any time of the day, and one of her favorites is Book Of Mormon Stories. She loves to do the actions. We love our little Makenzie!!!

Thanks to all of her Grandparents and Aunts & Uncles for her gifts. She sure had a great time opening them all. It was fun to watch her work.

Sleeping Kids....How I love them

I love to see my kids sleeping. Partly because it gives me a moment to get some things done. But mostly because it reminds me how sweet they are and how much I love them. I think that moms need that some times. Especially after longs days with no naps.

Baergen snoozing at the beach house

One night I walk into check on the kids before I go to bed and this is how I found Kaylee. She must have fallen out, but surprisingly enough it didn't wake her.

Makenzie is my kid that can fall asleep anywhere and in any position.

I guess he must have been tired.
