Grease is the word...
There are harldy words to describe my shock the other morning when I come out from blow drying my hair to find my dear little Kaylee bug sitting on the couch with butter. Yes, she got all of the butter out of the fridge and as you can see sat down to get a little greased up. When I saw here I just stood there and asked her "What are you doing??" She got this look on her face that seemed to say, "Yeah, what am I doing??" I'm happy now that the camera was right there and that I noticed it because I think it helped me to keep my temper under control. Needless to say, we wasted a cube of butter that day on Kaylee's legs. But they sure were shiney and pretty. :)

Grandparents are Great!!!
What have we been up to??
So it's been a while since our last post, but we are still here. We haven't been up to anything too exciting, just living life. It seems like Justis actually has a real job. He's gone the entire day. It took some getting used to at first since I was so used to him being home all of the time, but I think that the girls and I have adjusted pretty well. They are always going and keep me moving with them. I just wish I had half of their energy. Nothing seems to stop them even colds, and immunizations. They are still up at 6 in the morning; way to early for me, but I guess I get no choice in the matter. So here are a few pictures of what the girls like to do.

Prayer and naptime...
So this past couple of weeks have been a little on the stressful side. My dear sweet little Kaylee decided sometime last week that she didn't need to take naps anymore. Never mind that mom needs her to take naps. So in that past two weeks we have had maybe 3 naps. Yep count them, 1, 2, 3. Not cool. It has been frustrating as heck. I have been persistant and still put her down at the same time and go in time and time again to put her back in her crib-yup, she knows how to climb out. I can't tell you how many prayers I've prayed asking for just even an hour. Well, my prayers have paid of today. She is actually asleep and has been for about that hour, and not to push it, but I'm hoping she will stay down for at least another hour. They need some good sleep so bad, and I have needed the rest. I'm not going to hold my breath yet, but I hope this napping drought we had been in will clear out and shower the sleep on this house. It will be so greatly appreciated. I had wondered if she were really ready to be done napping, but she is still a little to cranky in the evenings to be done with the naps. So that option is out.
But none the less, I love my little monsters and sure did miss them this weekend when I cam down with the flu. My amazing husband got to be Mr. Mom on Saturday and Sunday, and I felt for him. I could hear the girls going from one thing to the next just leaving a path of destruction behind them. I could only imagine what it all really looked like. But I was stuck in my bed once again saying those prayers. Prayers that I could get over this sickness, prayers that my girls would nap for my husband(which they didn't) and prayers that they would behave. But I guess what doesn't hurt us only makes us stronger and hopefully I will be able to see the growth soon.
But in the mean time, thank goodness for prayers and nap time.

Just Because...
So I just thought this was a cute picture of my little Kaylee Bug. We had just finished FHE one night and I had made some pudding for dessert and discovered that she loves it. Hey what kid doesn't love pudding??

So when I was younger, I remember my mom sewing a lot of my clothes. Now that I am the mom, I do enjoy sewing, but I'm definitely not as good as my mom. So you may remember the dresses that I did for Christmas which amazingly turned out. Well I like this set up even better. These dresses they are in were mine when I was younger. It's so much easier to do it that way than to sew them myself. But seriously, I love that my mom saved these and I can put them on my girls. The one Makenzie is in was my first Easter Dress, and the one Kaylee is in was a Christmas one I think, and my older sister had a matching one that I'm going to have to hunt down so my girls can wear them together. But anyway, I just thought they were so cute, and Kaylee frequently picks the one she is wearing to wear to church and nursery which she absolutely loves.

Splish, Splash, Eww, Gross!!
So we have been trying to potty train again, and things are going much better this time around. We decided it was time for a couple of reasons. First, at night before I go to bed, I check on my girls to cover them up again etc. Well lately Kaylee has decided that she doesn't need to/want to wear her diaper at night anymore. So she will take it off and throw it out of the crib and put her pants back on. This has happened multiple times and luckily I've caught her before she has had any accidents. Then the other day she was playing at a friends house who is potty trained and Kaylee saw her little kid potty and told the mom she needed to go. So she helped Kaylee go potty and when they brought her home she was so excited that she had gone. So we decided to get her a potty of her own. And it is paying off. She has loved potty training this time, and we are hoping by the end of the week we will have really made some progress.
Now because Kaylee has been around the toilet so much in the past few days, Makenzie has been introduced to it too soon in my opinion. She loves to play in it, and she even knows how to lift the lid. I blame it all on the early walking. I have really enjoyed Makenzie walking right now, but this toilet thing is out of hand. For example, the other day I was doing dishes and I could hear Makenzie making the noise she does when in the tub and water gets in her face. Trying to breath etc. You know what I'm talking about. So I go running into the bathroom to find my girls standing around the toilet, Kaylee a washcloth in her hand and Makenzie's head soaking wet. I was furious, but luckily Justis was home and in a much better mood than I to catch a picture of it. Of course, I can laugh now, but at the time I was beside myself.
